Happy Birthday Big Boy!

Brice looks bigger today and is so excited to be four. From taking cupcakes to school to talking to friends and family that love him all day on the phone, to eating pizza for dinner, to crashing hard in our bed, he had a great day.
Thank you Lord for giving us this sweet, smart, funny, strong, passionate boy four years ago. Please help us to continue to be the parents that you want us to be and to lean on you alone for guidance.

you ask me how i do it

Some of you have asked how I handle 3 kids, one on the way, with a husband who lives out of town 5 days out of the week? Here are some things that fill up our day...never a dull moment I tell ya.

Some of you have requested some belly shots too...so here they are taken by Bricey (thus the blur on my face in some). And please ignore my dirty feet in others...I am guilty of playing outside barefoot this afternoon.

Manic Monday

Well, not really too manic exactly, but definitely out of the ordinary.
This morning, I looked at my son and noticed quickly that his face was terribly swollen...cheeks, eyes, and forehead. But he said that nothing hurt or itched, his throat included. So I gave him his Claritin and he went to preschool. When I picked him up, he was the same, and went to bed this evening, the same. I am not quite sure what it is....allergy to sunscreen that we use? Spider bite? Something new in bloom?? If he is not showing signs of improvement in the morning, I am taking him to the doc's, so hopefully this will not be the case. Any thoughts??
Also, Brad left to start his new job in Santa Barbara at noon today, meaning that I miss him already. I have experienced true gratitude in my heart toward him instead of anxiety like I did at the beginning of the power outage that he just finished up that took him away from us 6 days a week/12 hours a day. I am so thankful to have a husband that loves our family so much that he would live in a different place 5 days out of the week in order to best provide for our family at this time. And I am thankful to God for taking care of us and always being our Provider.

i really don't know what to do

I came home from Girl's Night Out to this...
And I don't know where I am supposed to go. Jaeda's bed is a toddler bed and Brice's bed is a boys bed...cooties and little boy stinky, no but really, I don't know where to sleep, so I thought I would blog about it. Questions come to my mind...How did this happen? How did a Daddy who doesn't believe kids should sleep in the same bed as their parents condone this? And how in the world did he get them BOTH to fall asleep in the same bed??
Oh, I get it. This must be the daddy that has worked for 13 days straight, 12 hours a day. Yep, that's gotta be it, but I still have the same question...where does a 32-week-pregnant mommy of 3 sleep?

My precious little nephew Ty came up this morning and I couldn't resist taking pictures of what he and Brice do best...beat up on each other. They are superboys and can't get enough of each other. But watch out, you don't want to be around when they are in a full-on battle...you will probably get hurt. But nothing compares to their laughter when they are together...it is priceless.
